Can I impose restrictions on the tenant? Most owners are not keen to let to tenants with pets, particularly dogs. As part of our management service, we will carry out your reasonable requests, the most common ones are: no pets, prefer non-smokers, no students, prefer people not in receipt of Housing Benefit. It has to be borne in mind that if you are letting a 4-bedroomed house, you should expect to let to a family group, e.g. a husband, wife and teenage son and daughter. It would be unreasonable to restrict such a property to just two people. |
